My local, weekly newspaper, The Clackamas Review, received a cold-call from me as a college sophomore, asking if they would accept me for an internship. I ended up learning Photoshop and getting hired in the Production Department.
I graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design.
Northwest Palate Magazine (Food, Wine, & Travel of the Pacific Northwest) had a new Art Director that year… yours truly. I was responsible for the design and entire layout of the magazine.
I rebuilt from the ground up and coded by hand, Northwest Palate’s website.
Knowing that there was more for me out there, I left Northwest Palate and started Freelancing full-time for agencies in Portland. Mostly designing for print, but still studying Web Design & Development in my spare time.
Freelancing ain’t easy! I accepted a Designer position in 2011 at a start-up called Must Have Menus, designing menu templates, video production, and social media management.
Now the fun really begins: Back to full-time freelancing, Sarah Bagley Web Design was born which turned in to ModernFox Web Design + Development.
Happily doing what I love to do: Helping busy small-business owners and creatives have a beautiful online presence as well as developing websites for other designers’ clients.
There's more to see.
